Lake Macquarie Festival of Surfing
Lake Mac Festival of Surfing is back bigger and better in 2018
We’re teaming up with Surfest for a fourth year to bring you the Lake Macquarie Festival of Surfing!
Join us on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 January 2018 at Redhead Beach to watch surfers showcase their talent across three disciplines of surfing; shortboards, longboards and stand-up paddleboards.
New to the festival program is the inaugural Lake Mac FOS ECS Boards Surf SUP and Paddle Battle, a $23,000 contest featuring three SUP surfing events in men’s, women’s and mixed divisions, and four ocean-racing Paddle Battle events. As the richest Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) contest in Australia, these events will bring some of the country’s most elite competitors to Redhead and provide some spectacular surfing.
The ECS Boards Paddle Battle heats and finals will take place on Saturday 20 January, while the shortboard, longboard and ECS Boards Surf SUP heats will take place on Saturday 20 January and be followed by their finals and official presentations on Sunday 21 January.
