Warners Bay Markets

Come along to Warners Bay foreshore, where there’s lots on offer with stalls, food and entertainment. Pick up a few giftsor a littlesomething for a loved one.

Sunday 17 June, 9am-2pm

Cooranbong Park

This Sunday at Cooranbong Park. the market will feature farmers and market gardeners, various produce such as jams, olives and olive oils, condiments, handmade candles, wooden homewares, children’s clothing and toys.

Council staff will out and about all across the City over the coming months to help you as we transition to a greener 3-bin system. Under the new Food+Garden=Green service, all food scraps and garden waste will go into the household green bin, which will be emptied weekly.

Come and meet the team to answer any questions you may have on our new 3-bin service!

Lake Macquarie Art Gallery, Booragul

The Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery component of the Hunter Red exhibition, a collaboration between the Maitland, Newcastle and Lake Mac art galleries and The Lock Up in Newcastle, is well worth a look.

Each of the four galleries has curated an exhibition on the overarching theme of ‘Hunter Red’ a nod to the glass of Hunter red as a symbolic tourism characteristic of our region.

Lake Macquarie’s interpretation of this theme manifests as Re(A)d Earth, an exhibition that explores the connection to country in Aboriginal Culture.

Newcastle Art Society Exhibition including the Lola Rose Award
