Submission to NSW Government on Transport for NSW – Draft Greater Newcastle Future Transport Plan
Council endorsed a submission to Transport for NSW on the draft Greater Newcastle Future Transport Plan.
Please see below for highlights of recommendations made at tonight’s Standing Committee meeting of Lake Macquarie City Council to be considered at the Ordinary Council meeting on Monday 26 February.
Jewells – Proposed transfer of undedicated lands to Council
Council discussed authorising the transfer of a small parcel of undedicated land (part Wommara Avenue and part lands adjacent 36 Wommara Avenue) to Council.
Jewells – Proposed sale of part Council-owned land
Council discussed authorising the sale of part of Council-owned land at 20 Wommara Avenue to adjoining owners.
Renewal of licence – Skydive the Beach and Beyond Newcastle Pty Ltd
Council, as Manager of Blacksmiths Recreation Reserve Trust, discussed granting a licence over part of 116 Ungala Road, Blacksmiths, to Skydive the Beach and Beyond Newcastle Pty Ltd for a period of three years.
Gateshead (part 21A Schroder Avenue) – Consolidation of lots
Council discussed consolidating part of 21A Schroder Avenue, Gateshead, with the Trustees of Roman Catholic Church land at 47 Pacific Highway, Gateshead.
Destination Management Plan 2018-2022
Council recommended placing the draft City of Lake Macquarie Destination Management Plan 2018-2022 on public exhibition for a minimum of 28 days to accept public submissions.
Review of Dog Exercise Policy
Council recommended deferring adoption of the draft Dogs in Open Space Policy to allow for a period of public feedback.
