All Italian Day

Sunday 15 October, 9.30am-2pm
Cahill Oval, Maude Street, Belmont

Woodworkers open day – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, 8am-4pm
Marmong Point Hall

Check out the handicrafts of the Lake Macquarie Woodworkers. Parking on site is available and then it’s just a hop, skip and a jump over the road to catch the aerobatic displays and try the free water sports at the Sailing Club. This event is part of the Lake Mac Big Weekend.

Food of the World Fete – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, 8am-4pm
Lake Macquarie High School

Park at the high school and enjoy the smells and tastes of international cuisines, then walk down to Marmong Point Foreshore to watch the aerobatics and superboat racing action. This event is part of the Lake Mac Big Weekend.

Jet and Jive concert – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Friday 13 October, 6-9pm
Warners Bay Foreshore

The Lake Mac Big Weekend will kick off with a free concert in the podium at Warners Bay Foreshore. There will also be a special demonstration on the water from the Jet Ski Racing Team from 5pm.

Aerobatic displays – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Saturday 14 October, 11.45am and 2pm, and Sunday 15 October, 9.45am and 11.45am

The team at Mat Hall Racing will dazzle crowds with an air display that will keep your eyes glued to the sky. This event is part of the Lake Mac Big Weekend.

Community displays – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, 10am-3pm
Warners Bay Foreshore

Community displays from the Scouts, Guides and Rural Fire Service, a sausage sizzle and activities for the kids. Plus, you can meet Frankie, the five-metre great white shark, with the famous Shark in a Bus onsite both days. Hosted by the Eleebana Lions Club, this event is part of the Lake Mac Big Weekend.

Holmesville Billy Cart Derby

Saturday 14 October, 7.30am
Holmesville Hotel, George Street, Holmesville

Come and join in the fun and make your own cart or just watch from the sidelines. There will be family fun for all ages, a jumping castle, car show, food and drink stalls and more. Racing begins at 9am. All proceeds go to Mum’s Cottage. For more information, visit the Facebook page.

Dudley Community Garden working bee

Join the Dudley Community Garden working bee. Visitors and community members are welcome. Please wear protective clothing, covered shoes, a hat, gloves and sunscreen. Come and be inspired. This is a gardener’s garden grown on a limited budget. See what you can achieve with creativity and a bit of hard work. Take a stroll, have a chat, purchase some plants for your own patch, listen to some music and enjoy cakes, tea, coffee or a sausage sandwich. $5 entry. Saturday Night Fever anniversary screening

Warners Bay markets – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Superboat Championships – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Saturday 14 October, 11am, and Sunday 15 October, 11am and 1pm
Lake Macquarie

Spectators can line the lake foreshore to watch high-octane vessels race at speeds of up to 200km/h. The best viewing spots will be Warners Bay Foreshore to Eleebana and Marmong Point Foreshore Reserve. Tune in to 97.3FM for live race broadcasting on both days. Find out more at superboat.com.au. Jet Ski racing – Lake Mac Big Weekend

Experience the adrenalin and excitement of PWC Jet Ski Racing. Saturday will feature endurance racing from 9.30am-5pm and Sunday will showcase circuit racing from 8.30am-5pm. This event is part of the Lake Mac Big Weekend.
