Wrap with Love knit-in

Knitters from far and wide will gather at Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery this Friday to knit hundreds of squares for cosy wraps. The wraps are distributed to needy people all over the globe. Science of Sustainability

Celebrate Science Week with Science of Sustainability and Questacon’s travelling Earth Quest exhibition. Featuring 16 hands-on exhibitions, a mini science film festival, and an observation trail through nearby bushland. The exhibition can be enjoyed by everyone, but is targeted at visitors aged 8-12. Dudley Community Garden working bee

An annual two-day regatta hosted by Sailability Belmont, racing in 2.3 and 303 dinghies, pairs and singles. Come along and support the sailors.

Northstars vs Melbourne Mustangs

Sunday 13 August, 3.30pm
Hunter Ice Skating Stadium

Cheer on the Northstars as they go head to head with the Melbourne Mustangs. Tickets are $22 for adults, $17 for under 16s, or $60 for a family of four (two adults and two children or one adult and three children) and can be purchased by phoning 4954 4499. Doors open at 3.30pm and the puck drops at 4pm.
