Severe storms

In NSW, most storms strike between October and the end of March but it is important to stay prepared all year round.

No matter where you are, severe storms can cause major damage to people, properties and pets. You need to be emergency ready and know how to protect yourself, your property, and where to get help in the event of a storm.

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) advises that there are a few simple measures that you can take around your home or business that can reduce the potential damage caused by severe storms.
