West Wallsend Swim Centre is operated by Council and is open year-round.
We are expanding West Wallsend Swim Centre to include a new learn-to-swim pool. The project will construct a new separate learn to swim pool that will complement aqua fitness, recreational and lap swimming in the existing 25 metre pool. The project will go out for tender late 2024, and construction will take place early to mid-2025. Every effort will be made to keep the existing pool open during construction, however there may be some short-term closures for specific activities. These will be communicated in advance.
