Our city is home to a national-level croquet centre with the Lake Macquarie Croquet Centre, located in Glendale, home to six courts and associated facilities.
Lake Macquarie Mayor Kay Fraser cut the ribbon on the $2.3 million centre at Bill Bower Oval in April 2024, paving the way for the sport’s growth in the city.
The centre features field lighting, an amenities building with a kitchen area and meeting room, and a shared path connecting courts to the car park.
It is the largest croquet facility in NSW.
Toronto Croquet Club operates the facility, which is home to more than 70 players.
Parking is accessible via the main entrance to the facility, off Main Road, Glendale.
