If you have moved into a newly built property and need a new garbage bin collection service, you can organise one online or by calling us on 02 4921 0333. 
Please note: General waste bins are purchased and owned by the property owner. Lime green-lidded Green Waste bins and yellow-lidded Recycling bins are provided and owned by the respective service collection contractors.

Order an additional service

We offer a number of flexible options to help you manage your waste.

  • Get more space with an additional 240L garbage bin that is collected fortnightly ($194 per year)
    - This option permits you to put two garbage bins out each fortnight
  • Have your existing garbage service converted to a weekly collection frequency ($269 per year)
    - Only one bin is required when you convert your normal fortnightly collection to a weekly service

If you need a new garbage bin for your additional fortnightly garbage service, you can purchase one as part of your service application and have it delivered to your property for a fee, or purchase your own bin from your local hardware store.

Once we receive your application, within five business days we will place a sticker on your garbage bin. It is important that you do not remove this sticker, as it lets our staff know that your additional fortnightly or weekly garbage service has been approved for collection.

With this sticker in place, we will start collecting your additional service on your usual collection day.

If your bin is missed, please complete our Report an issue form to notify us online, or call us on 4921 0333, within two working days to arrange collection.

If you need a new red-lidded garbage bin, you can purchase a 240L size bin for $120.00 (or a 140L size bin for $99.00 if you live in a strata property with a downsize strata waste package) online with your credit card and have it delivered to your property.

We want to help our residents get their waste sorted! Council provides educational resources to help residents understand how to correctly use their kerbside green, recycling and garbage bins.

However, incidents that have the potential to cause harm or damage can occur onboard our waste collection vehicles, which is why we actively monitor service compliance through live onboard recording and regular auditing.

Footage captured is held in accordance with our Collection and Use of GPS Data from Council Vehicles Policy and is used to detect service breaches including overweight bins or bins that contain hazardous or unacceptable materials.

Onboard recording is also useful to help identify damaged or non-presentation of bins, and improves driver and pedestrian safety.
