Our Customer Service Centre is temporarily located at Speers Point Library, adjacent to Council's Administration Building.
This application should be used when a commercial operator wishes to conduct group fitness programs within a Council park or reserve. This includes activities such as bootcamps, group fitness training, and other group active recreational pursuits.
Before applying to conduct fitness programs within Council's parks and reserves, you need to ensure that the park/reserve is available to book and has the facilities you require.

Approval to use Council's parks and reserves for conducting fitness groups programs is made under Chapter 7, Part 3 of Local Government Act 1993. if you are planning on booking a park/reserve to conduct any fitness programs, there are a number of terms and conditions(PDF, 309KB) which you need to comply with as part of the approval.
You will also need to provide the following supporting documentation:
Your insurance broker will be able to provide a Certificate of Currency, which should list Lake Macquarie City Council under 'interested party' with regard to use of a Council park/reserve for exercise. The certificate should also provide an expiry date and the amount of public liability coverage.
Fees will be calculated by Council staff and provided to you in writing after we've received your application for the use of Council parks and reserves to run exercise groups.
Once you have gathered your documents, you can apply online. You'll need to upload electronic versions of the required documentation in order to complete your application.
