We understand that circumstances change, and you may find you can no longer take care of your pet for a number of reasons.
The first step to rehoming your pet is asking around your immediate network. Do you have family or friends who would be willing to take on your pet? If your family and friends aren’t in a position to take on the responsibility for your pet, try a call out on social media.
The second step is to reach out to the following rehoming organisations for assistance.
In some circumstances and where capacity permits, we may accept surrendered pets if you are a resident from the Lake Macquarie area and have exhausted all your options. You will need to ensure your pet is microchipped and registered with the NSW Pet Registry and you will be charged a surrender fee.
