About the project

We are proposing to rehabilitate a section of Deaves Road, Mandalong between Crawford Road and Mandalong Road. This section of road was significantly impacted during a storm event in April 2022.

The project includes road rehabilitation and drainage improvements.

The project is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW government Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements through the Regional Roads and Transport Recovery Package.

Project benefits

Deaves Road, Mandalong has seen a significant increase in traffic with further growth predicted over the coming years. The road also provides an alternate diversion route for the M1 Pacific Motorway in addition to Freemans Drive, Morisset.

This project will

  • Improve the durability and longevity of this section of road
  • Deliver a safer and improved road surface for motorists
  • Deliver drainage improvements
  • Increase the resilience of this section of road to withstand natural disasters.

Where is the project up to?

We are in the early stages of design, and expect construction will occur in 2025, pending approvals.
