Some of our services are taking a short break over Christmas and the New Year. There are no waste, recycling and green waste collections on Christmas Day. All waste collections between Wednesday 25-Friday 27 December will occur a day later than usual.
Our Customer Service Centre is temporarily located at Speers Point Library, adjacent to Council's Administration Building.Face to face Duty building and planning enquiries will commence from the temporary CSC at Speers Point Library from Tuesday 14 January 2025.
Cr Colin Grigg has spent most of his working life in the ministry, helping people with counselling who are wanting to make more positive life decisions, and in most cases helping them find success and fulfilment. Along with a team of dedicated volunteers they continue to provide meals and support to many locally, nationally and even internationally. He is currently serving his third term on Council and hopes to use this term to help Lake Macquarie become an even greater place to live, work and visit. He is dedicated to helping local people live better lives both individually and collectively in many and varied ways.
Cr Grigg aims to encourage positive development and innovation in the areas of the environment, affordable housing, the arts, sports and tourism. Cr Grigg’s vision is to see the city enhance its lifestyle and harness its full potential.
