Some of our services are taking a short break over Christmas and the New Year. There are no waste, recycling and green waste collections on Christmas Day. All waste collections between Wednesday 25-Friday 27 December will occur a day later than usual.
Our Customer Service Centre is temporarily located at Speers Point Library, adjacent to Council's Administration Building.Face to face Duty building and planning enquiries will commence from the temporary CSC at Speers Point Library from Tuesday 14 January 2025.
Elected to Council in 2024, Cr Swinsburg brings more than 30 years’ experience from serving in the Australian Army and working in the corporate, private and small business sectors.
Cr Swinsburg has extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams across a wide range of stakeholders and a diverse experience base in managing complex projects and portfolios both domestically and internationally. Cr Swinsburg holds a Master of Business Administration and several other formal project-related qualifications. As a strategic thinker, Cr Swinsburg is passionate about ensuring the vision for Lake Macquarie is well nested with the future needs of our city, with strong consideration to balancing growth whilst maintaining our unique environment.
Cr Swinsburg is driven by ensuring that we leave the city in a better place and the next generation is effectively enabled, through well considered and planned infrastructure. He is also passionate about ensuring the community has a voice in both the immediate needs and future direction of our city.
Cr Swinsburg is married and has raised four children in Lake Macquarie.
