Temporary road closures and jetty exclusion zones - 21 & 22 June 2024

Temporary road closures will be in place on Friday 21 June and Saturday 22 June as part of the Float Your Boat event.

The locations and timings are listed below.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes during these times.

Road closure Friday 21 June 

To enhance the event experience and improve safety, there will be a road closure in place at the Toronto live site on Victory Parade, from the corner of The Boulevarde to the corner of Brighton Ave on Friday 21 June 2024 for a duration of seven (7) hours from 3pm until 10pm. No street parking within the road closure will be permitted between 2pm – 10pm.

Road closures Saturday 22 June 

To enhance the event experience and improve safety, there will be a road closure in place at the Warners Bay live site on The Esplanade, from the corner of Lake Street to the corner of King Street.

There will also be a road closure in place at the Belmont live site on Brooks Parade, from the corner of Sharp St to the corner of Maude St.

These closures will be for a duration of seven (7) hours from 3pm until 10pm. No street parking within the road closure will be permitted between 2pm – 10pm.

Lake exclusion zone & jetty clearance notice 

The public is advised that an exclusion zone will be in place at Toronto Foreshore on Friday 21 June 2024 and Warners Bay Foreshore on Saturday 22 June 2024. The exclusion zone will be in place from 1700 – 2100 on both evenings. The exclusion zone will be in front of each foreshore live site from the beach to a 4m depth. This is to keep the path clear for the flotilla and to allow spectators from the live sites to see the flotilla clearly. Maritime NSW will be out on the lake enforcing the exclusion zones.

Wangi Wangi jetty (in front of Wangi RSL) clearance – Friday 21 June 2024

The public is advised that the jetty in front of Wangi RSL will need to be clear from approximately 9pm on Friday 21 June 2024 for the arrival of the flotilla. There will be signs in place on Friday to notify the public of this.
