Road safety improvement works underway at Mount Hutton

Dunkley Parade, Mount Hutton is receiving a facelift to improve safety between Tennent Road and Bayview Street with works getting underway on-site this week.

The project is jointly funded by the NSW Government’s Safer Local Government Road Program and Council.

Safety barriers and line marking will be installed along the road, which will also receive surface treatment. The curve of the road will also be improved to make it safer for motorists. While the footpath fronting Mount Hutton Public School will also be replaced to improve pedestrian access in the area.

The project is expected to be completed in mid-2022.

The total spend on the works is $800,000, with $500,000 from the NSW Government and $300,000 from Council.
