Outcome of an enabling approach to building single dwellings on undersized lots in the E2, E3 and RU2 zones and revision of Part 9.5: Dwelling House in Rural and Environmental Zones of the Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan 2014

Council will consider noting findings on investigations into dwellings on undersized lots in C2 Environmental Conservation, C3 Environmental Management and RU2 Rural Landscape zones.

Council will consider preparing and exhibiting an amendment to the Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan (LMDCP) 2014 for at least 28 days and considering a report on the draft LMDCP 2014 amendment after exhibition.

Residential flat building at 5 Charles Street Charlestown

Council will consider endorsing a development standard variation under clause 4.6 of the Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan 2014, providing a maximum height of 28.64m, exceeding the 23m development standard by 5.64m or 24 per cent, and approving a development application for a residential flat building at 5 Charles Street, Charlestown, subject to conditions of consent.

Classification of land – 23 Keightley Street, Wyee Point

Council will consider authorising that the land at 23 Keightley Street, Wyee Point (Lot 3, Section H, DP 1596) be classified as operational land on completion of the purchase of that land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993.

Proposed purchase for open space – part of 58 Soreina Drive, Wyee

Council will consider approving the purchase of part of 58 Soreina Drive, Wyee for the $1,150,000 (excluding GST), and giving public notice of Council’s proposal to classify the property as operational land upon acquisition, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993.

Feedback Management Policy review

Council will consider rescinding the current Feedback Management Policy – version 2, and

adopting the revised Feedback Management Policy – version 3.

Requests for donations

Council will consider approving the following donations under the donations program:

  • $2000 to Healing Path to Wellness for an art therapy project at Morisset High School.
  • $2000 to NSW Police and Emergency Services Sailing Club to assist with the expenses of their sailing regatta in Toronto.
  • $1525 to Caves Beach Surf Life Saving Club for the purchase of a new rowing machine to be used at their clubhouse in Caves Beach.
