December review of the Operational Plan and Budget 2022-2023

Council will discuss adopting amendments to the Operational Plan 2022-2023, receiving and noting the status of Delivery Program 2022-2026 strategies and adopting variations to the 2022-2023 budget.

Hunter Sports Centre expansion

Council will discuss accepting the tender and approving the award of the contract to Grindley Constructions Pty Ltd for the Hunter Sports Centre expansion for the amount of $42.64 million and requesting the Council’s CEO prepare the budgets and financial plans to accommodate delivery of the expansion.

23 Neridah Road, Belmont North – dwelling house alterations and additions

Council will discuss endorsing a development standard variation under clause 4.6 of the Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan 2014, providing a maximum height of 7.5m, exceeding the 5.5m development standard by 2m or 36 per cent, and approving a development application for dwelling house alterations and additions, swimming pool and garage at 23 Neridah Road, Belmont North.

2024 Local Government election – provision of election services and determination of Councillor numbers

Council will discuss entering an election arrangement by contract for the Electoral Commissioner to administer all elections of the Council to comprise 13 Councillors, including the Mayor, following the next ordinary election.

Youth Week Grants 2023

Council will discuss funding nine activities/events for a total of $10,362 as part of the Youth Week 2023 grants program.

Recommendations of the Traffic Facilities and Road Safety Committee – February 2023

Council will discuss approving the installation of no stopping restrictions on Reservoir Road, Glendale.

Policy positions

Council will discuss being briefed on external and internal services being reviewed with particular reference to legislative compliance requirements versus Lake Macquaire City Council policy positions.

Variations to development standards – Clause 4.6 mandatory reporting

Council will discuss receiving and noting this report.
