Council’s next meeting will take place at Ella Hughes Chapel, Avondale University, 582 Freemans Drive, Cooranbong on Monday 14 April 2025 starting from 6.30pm.

To attend the meeting in person, turn off Freemans Drive onto University Drive, Avondale. Follow University Drive to the main boom gates. Turn left onto College Road and parking can be found in P1 or VP. Follow the walkway to the Ella Hughes Chapel, see site map and directions.

Purchase of Wyee land for community space

Council will consider recommending the purchase of 120, 122 and 124 Wyee Road, Wyee for $1.5 million.

The property was earmarked for purchase in the Morisset Catchment Development Contributions Plan 2012 to provide general community space, children’s services and youth services.

Upgrading the existing local park to a district level park would include a new and upgraded playground.

Proposed acquisition for road widening in Fassifern

Council will consider recommending the purchase of about 500m2 of land between 100 and 106 Miller Road, Fassifern for $5000 to allow for road widening.

The land is required to facilitate traffic safety improvement works and will be dedicated as public road.

By securing the necessary land and proceeding with the works, Council would be ensuring a proactive approach to road safety, supporting the long-term safety and efficiency of this transport corridor.
