Public exhibition of the draft Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032, draft Resourcing Strategy 2022-2032 and draft Delivery Program 20220-2026 incorporating the draft Operational Plan, budget and fees and charges 2022-2023
Council endorsed the exhibition of the draft Integrated Planning and Reporting framework documents for at least 28 days and invites community feedback during this time.
Investment Report – February 2022
Council noted the Investment Report for February 2022, which identifies all money Council has invested under section 625 of the Local Government Act 1993. The portfolio return as at February 2022 was above benchmark by 145 points.
Swansea – 11-15 Lake Road and 45 Josephson Street – Mixed use development - residential flat building, commercial premises and strata subdivision
Council approved the demolition of all existing structures on site and the erection of a mixed-use development comprising commercial premises, residential flat building development and strata subdivision at 11, 13 and 15 Lake Road and 45 Josephson Street, Swansea.
Adoption of agritourism LEP amendments
Council approved nominating zones for new land uses: ‘farm gate premises’ and ‘farm experience premises’. Council also adopted two optional clauses for ‘farm stay accommodation’ and ‘farm gate premises’ in the Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan 2014.
Endorsement of Planning Proposal after exhibition for Lake Macquarie Memorial Park, 405 Cessnock Road, Ryhope
Council endorsed a proponent-initiated planning proposal to amend the Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan 2014, following Gateway Determination, state agency consultation and public exhibition.
Draft planning proposal to rezone part of 482 Bushells Ridge Road, Wyee from SP2 Infrastructure to R2 Low Density Residential
Council approved the rezoning proposal of 482 Bushells Ridge Road, Wyee to proceed to Gateway Determination, which allows for the development of new housing on the site, adjacent to recent residential development.

Council endorsed ten recommendations from the Traffic Facilities and Road Safety Committee meeting held on 8 March 2022.
