What’s open and closed over Christmas and New Year

Some of our services are taking a short break over Christmas and the New Year. There are no waste, recycling and green waste collections on Christmas Day. All waste collections between Wednesday 25-Friday 27 December will occur a day later than usual.

Customer service update

Our Customer Service Centre is temporarily located at Speers Point Library, adjacent to Council's Administration Building.
Face to face Duty building and planning enquiries will commence from the temporary CSC at Speers Point Library from Tuesday 14 January 2025.

Closure of pedestrian footbridge at Feighan Park, Warners Bay

The pedestrian footbridge in Feighan Park south of the netball courts has been closed for safety reasons.

A Council inspection revealed it has deteriorated and is no longer safe for use by the community.

We are investigating options to repair or replace the pedestrian footbridge.

Alternative routes are available along Seaman Avenue using the footbridge connecting Albert Street and Maurie Street, or via the John Street pedestrian bridge.

Council apologises for any inconvenience to the community.
