We are undertaking road rehabilitation and drainage improvements on Bridget Street, Morisset between Dora Street and Terrigal Street, and an 80m section in Yambo Street.

The works will improve pedestrian and vehicle safety in the area.
From 23 July 2024, a pedestrian detour will be in place at the intersection of Bridge Street and Newcastle Street. The detour will require students and pedestrians to cross to the northern side of Bridge Street, cross Newcastle Street, and cross back across to the southern side of Bridge Street.
Detour signs will be in place to direct pedestrians. Traffic controllers will also be on-site during the initial change. This detour will remain in place until September 2024.
The project is expected to be complete in October, weather permitting.
