ANZAC Day services and marches in Lake Mac

ANZAC Day services and marches will be held across Lake Macquarie City on Friday 25 April 2025. See below for details. Please note, the times below are approximate timings and may vary slightly on the day.
Belmont
A march will step off at 9:45am from High Street, followed by a 10am service at Cullen Park.
Cardiff
A march will step off at 5am from the corner of Macquarie Road and Main Road, followed by a dawn service at 5:10am at Cardiff RSL.
Catherine Hill Bay
A dawn service will start at 6am at Catherine Hill Bay Cenotaph.
Charlestown
A service will start at 11am at Charlestown Lions Park and Cenotaph. There will be a short march for children within the park.
Dora Creek
A dawn service will start at 6am at Neville Thompson Oval, followed by a 6:45am Gunfire Breakfast at Dora Creek Workers Club. A march will step off at 9:00am from Gradwells Road, followed by a service at 9:40am at Neville Thompson Oval.
Dudley
A march will step off at 5:45am from Banfield Lane near the water tower, followed by a service at Dudley War Memorial.
Pelican
A march will step off from Piriwal Street near Bato Street at 5:50am, followed by a 6am service at RSL Memorial Park.
Rathmines
A march will step off at 12:45pm from Rathmines Bowling Club, followed by a service at Catalina War Memorial and a flyover at 1pm.
Redhead
A service will start at 11am at the Redhead War Memorial on Cowlishaw Street.
Speers Point
At 6am a march will step off from Speers Point Park near the rotunda staying within the park and followed by a dawn service.
Swansea
A dawn service will start at 6am at Swansea RSL Memorial Cenotaph. A march will step off at 11am from Pacific Highway Swansea Roundabout Northbound (near McDonald’s), followed by a second service at Swansea RSL Memorial Cenotaph at 12pm.
Toronto
A dawn service will start at 6am at Goffet Park. A march will step off at 10:50am from The Boulevarde in front of The Diggers Club, followed by a service at 11am at Goffet Park.
Valentine
A march will step off at Allambee Park at 10:00am, staying within the park, followed by a service.
Wangi Wangi
A dawn service will start at the Cenotaph at Wangi Wangi RSL at 5:30am followed by a Gunfire Breakfast at 6:30am. A march will form at 9:30am on Kent Place, with vehicles procession will start along Puna Road and Dobell Drive at 10am followed by the march participants. A flyover will take place at 10am also and then the main service will follow at approximately 10:30am at the Cenotaph at Wangi RSL on Watkins Road.
West Wallsend
A march will step off at 9:45am on the corner of Withers and Carrington Streets, followed by a service at Soldiers Park Memorial on Carrington Street.

The part of Stilling Street that loops around Club Catalina and the War Memorial will be closed for the Anzac Day service. Club Catalina car park can be entered via Stilling Street. Expect traffic delays between 5am and 9am due to high pedestrian traffic which will be managed at the crossing on The Esplanade.

Swansea

Northbound Lane of the Pacific Highway (between Old Pacific Highway and Belmont Street) and Lake Road between Josephson St and Pacific Highway
Closed from 10:30am-12noon
Detours in place. Follow signs and directions of traffic controllers.
Please note the Swansea Bridge will open to close the road as the march travels from the Pacific Highway to Peel Street.

Closed from 9am for form up of march and main service.
Road closures will be collapsed behind the march as it proceeds along the road. All roads will be open again by 12:30pm.
