3.00PM - Visit UnrealVR or Timezone at Charlestown after lunch for some fun. You can also check out Dullboy’s Social in Warners Bay which has dodgem cars, mini golf, an arcade, bowling and karaoke - so you can sing your heart out!

6PM - You’ve had an exciting adventure-packed day in Lake Mac, but the night is just getting started! Why not head to a family-friendly dinner at Emilio’s Warners Bay for a scrumptious, authentic, Italian feast. If you’re after a more intimate night, Canon, located on the esplanade, is a great choice, with an impressive range of cocktails and scrumptious meals to enjoy.

For the night owls, you can continue on to the recently refurbished Warners Bay Hotel for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, live music and good times.

Day 2, Sunday

9AM - Get your caffeine fix at Common Circus in Belmont. They have tasty toasties, soups and treats to enjoy and a passion for community that will truly make you feel like part of the family.

10.30AM – Head to one of our beautiful beaches. Caves Beach has some fascinating caves to explore during low-tide, otherwise you could soak up the sun or try your hand at surfing at Redhead Beach. If you have access to a boat, kayak or jet ski you can also visit sand islands such as Naru Beach or Pelican Island. The water is nice and shallow in many of these areas too, making it the perfect spot for kids or those of us who prefer to float and relax.

1PM - For lunch, visit one of Lake Mac’s best kept secrets, 19 Beach Side in Redhead, for lovingly produced, handmade pasta and woodfired pizzas. The Lake Macquarie Yacht Club in Belmont is another tasty option with a huge range of seafood, tapas and classic Aussie favourites.

3.30PM - Get your body moving again with a walk or bike ride on the Wangi Circuit Walking track or visit Watagans National Park. It’s nestled amongst the rainforest near Morisset and uncovers an impressive moss-covered rock wall which has to be seen to be believed. There are a number of walking tracks here to explore, which are suitable for a range of skill levels and ages.
