Since its inception, Telethrive has seen remarkable growth. The team has expanded from five to ten clinicians, introduced new services, increased their client base by 75%, and launched a series of community outreach programs. This growth reflects their commitment to providing holistic care and reducing wait times for allied health services.

The journey and inspiration

Telethrive was born out of a desire to make allied health services more accessible and affordable. The founders aimed to help individuals navigate grants and insurance to cover therapy costs. By building a multidisciplinary team, Telethrive can offer a range of techniques to best treat their clients, ensuring comprehensive and timely care.

Future projects and developments

Looking ahead, Telethrive plans to expand its services into more rural areas. They aim to provide traveling services for those who cannot access their clinics, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive the care they need.

Choosing Lake Macquarie

The decision to base Telethrive in Lake Macquarie was influenced by the welcoming local community and the beautiful lakeside views. This environment provides a warm and supportive backdrop for their mission to help others.

Advice for aspiring local businesses

Melissa Spinks, the Director of Telethrive, advises other local businesses to take the leap despite the initial fear. “It’s always scary starting out, but taking the chance is always worth it” she says.

Benefits of Winning the Awards

Winning at the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards and subsequently the Business Hunter Awards has brought increased exposure and more clients to Telethrive. It has also validated their efforts and reinforced their impact on the community, making the team proud of their contributions.

Moving Forward

As winners at the regional Business Hunter Awards, Telethrive will now progress as finalists at the state Business NSW Awards. The recognition from these awards has been a significant morale boost, affirming that their work is making a meaningful difference in the community.

Telethrive’s journey is a testament to their dedication to improving access to allied health services and their commitment to the well-being of their clients. Their innovative approach and community-focused initiatives make them a deserving winner of both the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards and the Business Hunter Awards.
