Following the fire event impacting Lake Macquarie City Council administration facilities, the Lake Macquarie Family Day Care primary office has temporarily relocated to 145 Newcastle Road, Wallsend, NSW.

We're an approved high-quality education and care service, provided by Lake Macquarie City Council on a not-for-profit basis since 1979. We register a network of qualified Educators who provide small group education and care in their home environments for children aged birth to 13 years.
We have Educators registered across the Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and surrounding areas. Our education and care services are available to families living in and out of Lake Macquarie City.
Government assistance with the cost of care is available to eligible families (see enrol my child for more information).
Lake Macquarie Family Day Care Service
Our Coordination Unit is responsible for the effective management of services offered by our educators.
This includes:
- selection of educators and monitoring legislative requirements to ensure high-quality education and care through home visits and training
- assisting eligible parents to claim fee reduction through childcare subsidy
- providing early childhood advocacy, information and support to educators and families
