Lake Mac Thought Leader Program

The Lake Mac Thought Leader Program invites leading researchers and practitioners to our city to connect with residents, community groups and institutions.

A first for the city, this program invites the ‘Thought Leader’ to deliver talks and conduct meetings to discuss the latest research in their topic area.

The inaugural resident is Dr Joelle Gergis, an internationally renowned climate scientist. During February and March 2025, we look forward to an exchange of ideas on climate and sustainability, allowing us to bolster our knowledge and enhance our preparedness.
