Youth Week
NSW Youth Week will go ahead from 9 to 17 April 2025.
Youth Week celebrates young people and their contribution to their local communities. It is now the largest annual youth participation event in Australia. Youth Week is a week that provides young people with an opportunity to express their views and act on issues that affect their lives.
Youth Week Theme 2025: This year the NSW Youth Advisory Council want to celebrate young people’s unique strengths and recognise their collective power as our current and future influencers, leaders and decision makers.
Young people are invited to celebrate the theme by sharing who they are, their skills, qualities, something about themselves that they are proud of, or something they are passionate about advocating for. The Theme is:
I am______________.
We are the future and the future is now!
Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to:
- Raise the issues, ideas and concerns of young people
- Develop strategies to address the issues important to young people
- Increase the community’s awareness of young people and the issues that are important to them
- Highlight young people’s contributions to the community
