We are calling for expressions of interest from community members and industry professionals to join the Cultural Collections Consultative Committee.
The Committee will advise on all acquisitions, loans and deaccessions from the Cultural Collections, including visual arts collections, social history, museum, urban and public art and local studies collections.
The Committee will be formed by staff, Councillors, community representatives and industry representatives. Selected members will have an interest in the growth, interpretation and presentation of cultural collections of Lake Macquarie, and the ability to offer advice and support for Council staff to successfully meet the actions noted in the Lake Macquarie Cultural Collections Strategy.
Meetings of the Committee will occur on a quarterly basis for a period of approximately 1 hour per meeting.

Applicants must be able to comply with the following criteria:
- Professional standard knowledge and experience with visual arts and/or museum collections (if applying as industry professional)
- Interest, knowledge and connection to cultural collections within Lake Macquarie
- Ability to represent the interest of the community and/or arts and cultural industries
- Ability to attend meetings on a quarterly basis for approximately an hour
