We are working to ensure our services and facilities are accessible for all residents of our city.

Assistance animals are welcome at Council buildings and facilities. You can find accessible facilities at beaches, swim centres and other recreational spaces in Lake Macquarie City.

Apply for a free MLAK key

Eligible Lake Macquarie residents can apply for a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK), free of charge

Motorised wheelchairs and mobility scooters

Primarily designed for use by people with reduced mobility, these vehicles are regarded as pedestrians, so no registration or licence is required.
