The OzHarvest Nourish Program is a hospitality focused pathway to engagement and employment for young people aged 16-25 who face barriers to education and employment. OzHarvest has partnered with Allara Learning to deliver the program facilitated by qualified chefs & industry professionals who holistically teach valuable skills directly related to the hospitality industry along with life & general employability skills. A big part of our focus is building self-esteem and working with students on their individual needs to enable them to succeed. It’s free of charge for participants. The course runs2 days a week-Wednesday and Friday - 10am-3.30pm from the Lake Macquarie PCYC located in Windale. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY? Young people between the ages of 16-25 years who have experienced some kind of barrier to employment or education are encouraged to apply. HOW TO APPLY? Simply complete an expressions of interest form online here .Once the Nourish team receive a registration of interest you will be contacted by phone to provide more detailed information about the applicant. It is essential for us to meet potential candidates and their support person, so we have a better understanding of who they are and what their needs may be. Places in the program are limited, and we’ll finalise the makeup of the class once we have met all the prospective students.
