Justice Advocacy Service is recruiting volunteers

The Justice Advocacy Service (JAS) is a program of the Intellectual Disability Rights Service (IDRS). IDRS provides free services for people with cognitive impairment across NSW providing help with legal problems. We work alongside people with cognitive impairment to promote and protect their rights. More information and direct applications can be found on the IDRS website.

We are currently recruiting volunteers who will support JAS clients in the court setting. Volunteers must be flexible and have availability 9am - 4pm during week days. Volunteers gain a range of experiences associated with supporting people in the Criminal Justice System. Volunteers can learn about the court system and advocating for clients. IDRS is a Centrelink approved organisation and we have a diverse range of volunteers.
