A taste of textiles

See and try out different textile techniques with the members of Newcastle Embroiders and textile Artists. See demonstrations of creative contemporary textile techniques in their current exhibition, "Creative Threads". Take the opportunity to try two different techniques yourself. Activities include: wrapped cord brooch, collage with glued and stitched fabric; braiding using a kumihimo disk, embellishing with a dry felting machine and creative stimulation. Bookings are essential. Please arrive at 12.15pm to register and select two activities to try. The session will start promptly at 12.30pm. "Creative Threads" is on display until Saturday 8 February at Charlestown Library.
