Philip has shot everyone from Billy Thorpe to Johnny O’Keefe and AC/DC. He also shot international stars including Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Frank Zappa, Yes and Jackson 5. He contributed to every major publication in Australia as well as award-winning album covers for the Angels, Midnight Oil and Marcia Hines

What is MAP mima?

The Multi-Arts Pavilion mima (MAP mima) is the first of its kind in Australia – an agile space designed to host national and international contemporary art installations, theatre performances, music and more.

mima, is the Awabakal name for the Pavilion, and means ‘cause to stay.’ This name invites audiences to reflect on the ways the ancient and the emerging intermingle. At the confluence of Lake Macquarie and Cockle Creek, MAP mima brings art, technology and culture together.

THE NODE

Looking directly out onto the banks of Lake Macquarie, the Node is a distinctive and unique projection space. By day, visitors can look out onto the lake while purpose made video artworks interact and wash over the stunning view. By night, the Node presents video works and film screenings for visitors to enjoy in our very own Speers Point Park outdoor cinema.

Phil Morris will be speaking about his photography on Thursday 25 November at Warners Bay Theatre, 6 – 7.30pm. Register Here
