Come You Spirits production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet has been touring Australia for the past 2 years and is an offering of unconditional love. CAST
Charlotte Edwards plays Juliet
Charlotte grew up in Tasmania, where she discovered her love for performance through dance. She started tap and jazz at the age of six and quickly became passionate about the art form. From a young age, she knew she wanted to move to the mainland to attend acting school, and in 2023, she graduated from the Actors Centre Australia with a Bachelor's degree in Stage and Screen Acting.
While at ACA, Charlotte had the chance to perform in a variety of roles, including Irina in Three Sisters, Natalie in The Business, Clarence and Prince Edward in Richard III, Nola in The Boys, Elena Popova in The Bear, Juror 7 in 12 Angry Men, and Sentry 2, Boy Young, and Chorus in Antigone.
Since graduating, Charlotte’s credits include Boy in Waiting for Godot (ACA Wheelhouse), Fox/ Footman/Dance Captain in Cinderella (Strathfield Musical Society), and most recently, she had the pleasure of playing John Webster in Shakespeare in Love at the New Theatre.
Ciarán O’Riordan plays Romeo
Born in Sydney, with family from Cork, Ireland, Ciarán O’Riordan proudly continues their thousands of years of storytelling tradition by performing with many companies across Sydney, including with Come you Spirits as Lysander-Puck-Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ferdinand in The Tempest and MacDuff in Macbeth. He is concurrently appearing this month in Chekhov’s The Three Sisters at Flight Path Theatre in Sydney!
Recent other credits include Waiting For Godot for ACA Company, Grain in the Blood for Virginia Plain Theatre at KXT, Mel Stanwyck in Chimerica (New Theatre), and original plays What Have You Done (Chippen St. Theatre) and Sydney The Folk Musical (Newcastle Fringe, Sydney Folk Festival). He has also devised and directed a pop-up production of Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales. Past Shakespeare credits include Pistol in The Merry Wives of Windsor (New Theatre), Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Acting Factory), Pericles in Pericles of Tyre (The Acting Factory), Ned Poins in Henry IV Parts One and Two with Streamed Shakespeare, as well as Silvius in As You Like It and Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night as part of ACA’s Graduating Company of 2020.
Jo Bloom plays Tybalt and the Nurse
Co-Founder, producer and actor for Come you Spirits, Jo also plays Cleopatra in Antony & Cleopatra, Nurse in Romeo & Juliet, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Caliban in The Tempest, and Titania/Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Jo has worked as an actress, director, producer, educator and playwright in Sydney, Melbourne and London and across the UK.
Her passion for Shakespeare and classical theatre has seen her perform in principal roles in over 20 productions, including to critical acclaim as Hedda in Hedda Gabler and Rosalind in As You Like It. She joined the Australian Shakespeare Company in 2009 performing in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors and Macbeth and set up the education program for them performing in all Victorian and NSW school incursions. She has performed and toured in leading roles playing at the Minack Theatre UK, the Edinburgh Festival, the Swan Theatre, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and has also worked with the British Shakespeare Company on their national tour.
Jo wrote, produced and toured the live children’s show Alphabet Avenue across Victoria and Sydney, which developed into the TV series The McKenzie Sunshine Show currently shooting with AI Films Studio for international release in 2025.
Dallas Reedman plays Mercutio
Dallas Reedman trained at the Actors Centre Australia, graduating from the full-time course in 2017. His recent theatre credits include performances at the New Theatre as: Diego in Atlantis, directed by Tiffany Wong (2024) and Niko in Breaking the Code, directed by Anthony Skuse (2022). He also has performed at Flow Studios as Bergetto in Tis Pity... directed by Harry Reid (2022). In 2023, Dallas completed a year of touring for Bell Shakespeare as part of The Players, performing in schools around the country.
Charles Mayer plays Capulet and Friar
Actor, producer and co-founder of Come you Spirits Theatre Inc, Charles also plays Antony in Antony & Cleopatra, Macbeth in Macbeth, Prospero in The Tempest, and Oberon/Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Charles is an English actor living and working in Australia since 2012. After 11 years as a British Army officer, Charles graduated with a degree in acting from Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London and has since worked on stage in the West End, for four years in Shanghai, for six years in Adelaide working in three shows with State Theatre Company of South Australia, on two shows with Pop-Up Globe in Auckland, one at the Seymour Centre and two at the Old Fitz. Most recent work is feature film I Am (Best Actor, Athens Independent Film Festival) directed by Marcus Graham in Sydney, and The Wind in The Willows with The Australian Shakespeare Company in Melbourne.
Nathan Meola is the Master of Ceremony
Nathan is a storyteller and healer who helps people connect more deeply with their bodies and awaken their mythic imagination through story, ceremony, and the art of slowing down.
He weaves between communities bringing people together sharing the ancient craft of storytelling, running storytelling workshops, retreats and working with private clients in service to art, love and connection.
As well as many theatres around Australia, Nathan has guided the Shakespeare productions by Come you Spirits in locations as diverse as around a fire in the St Albans riverbed, and inside Esperance Stonehenge in WA in a storm under a full moon.

PARKING
Parking is available in designated areas surrounding the venue, including two accessible parking spaces in front of the theatre.
ACCESSIBILITY
Accessible access to Rathmines Theatre is available via the ramp on the lake side of the theatre. There are two accessible parking spaces in front of the theatre. There is one accessible unisex toilet (right-hand transfer), and one accessible male toilet (ambulant).
HEARING LOOP
A Hearing Loop is available in the theatre. To receive the signal directly a patron can switch their hearing aid or cochlear implant process to the T Switch, or Telecoil position.
