Join Dave Jereb from MoveAbout Therapy as he shares insights into creating environments for supporting our children’s sensory needs.

Our sensory systems can play a major influence on our emotions, behaviour and how we regulate our feelings. As parents we can (usually!) identify when we feel over stimulated, but how can we recognise this in our children and how can we create environments that are going to be supportive of sensory equilibrium leading to more calm and greater connection? Join Dave Jereb from MoveAbout Therapy as he shares insights into creating environments for supporting our children’s sensory needs.

About the presenter Dave Jereb

Dave Jereb is a distinguished paediatric occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience and co-founder of MoveAbout Therapy Services. His vision centres on creating a world where all children have meaningful lives and are valued within their communities.

Alongside his wife Kathy, also an OT, Dave developed the MoveAbout Activity Cards and workshops of regulation, behaviour and connection. Dave also co-founded and facilitates the Allied Health Sanctuary with speech pathologist Sonia Bestulic.

Dave has contributed to various podcasts and he can be found on the MoveAbout YouTube channel, sharing his insights and innovative ideas in occupational therapy and supporting children with challenging behaviours.

Dave's key principle is to ‘support the people who support the kids’, including the families he works with, his MoveAbout team and the community of people supporting children.

Last year Dave became an Amazon international number one bestseller with his book, 'Challenging the Story', offering child-centred and connection-focused strategies for managing challenging behaviours. The Challenging the Story of Behaviour workshop is set to launch towards the end of 2024.

Children and parents/carers are welcome to join the workshop. Activities will be set up and supported by a trained early childhood educator for children to engage in, while families can tune into the presentation / conversation. There is an onsite cafe to purchase drinks and light refreshments. Parking is either on Lake street or in the car park off Shade Lane. You only need to register one ticket per family.

Please note that upon registration you will automatically be registered to receive monthly updates about workshops for children and families. You can unsubscribe at anytime.
