Over 100,000 film lovers in over 500 cities across six continents gather for one reason...to view and vote on the Finalists' Films in the 27th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival.
Ten short films are selected from entries from around the world and will screen in over 500 screens across six continents during one week. Audiences at each venue are handed a voting card and asked to vote for the one film they think is best. Votes are sent through to Manhattan Short HQ and the winner is announced the following day.
Every film selected for MANHATTAN SHORT 2024 will be automatically qualified for the 2025 Oscars. In the last three years at least one film from the MANHATTAN SHORT's Oscar qualifying screenings has gone on to be nominated for an Oscar.

VENUE INFORMATION
PARKING
The carpark at the rear of the theatre can be accessed via the John Street entrance, with limited on street parking available.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Warners Bay Theatre can be accessed via a ramp on Lake St and flat entry once inside the building. The venue has LH and RH accessible toilets. There are two accessible parking spots are in the car park behind the theatre via the John Street entry.

Set hearing loop to T (Telecoil) - coverage between stage and tiered seating.
DRINKS AND SNACKS
There will be a bar open with wine, beer and snacks available to purchase using EFTPOS only.
This event may be photographed and filmed and your image could be used in advertising and promotion by Lake Macquarie City Council. Should you wish to not be photographed or filmed please advise event organisers on entry at the event.
