Lake Macquarie’s largest free community event, Living Smart Festival, now in its 13th year is set to take place on Saturday 21 September at Speers Point Park. This flagship event for our region attracts up to 20,000 attendees, pending weather conditions.

Held on the traditional lands of the Awabakal People, the Living Smart Festival is a day of celebrating all things sustainability and cultural diversity. Located on the shores of Lake Macquarie at Speers Point Park, the festival is all about engaging, learning and connecting with all aspects of sustainability, from environmental to cultural.

The relaxed festival vibe encourages visitors to engage with local artists, taste local produce from a variety of food trucks offering international cuisine, and interact with many of the activities provided for the event from the local community.
