Join local wildlife experts Hunter Wildlife Rescue to learn all about our fruity flying-foxes and local fauna at our Landcare and Sustainable Living Center, umali barai-ku. This interactive talk will cover everything from our local environment, the critters that live there, and what you can do to help out our flying-fox friends that are facing challenges in our local environment.

Did you know that the Grey-headed Flying-fox is under threat in our local community from habitat destruction? To help them out, all attendees of this event will receive a free native plant to take home and plant to help create more habitat for our furry friends.

This event is suitable for all ages, accessible for all mobility levels, and will be held inside with seating. (There may even be opportunity to meet one of our fruit loving friends!)

Important participant requirements:

  • This event is for people aged 5+ years.
  • Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All attendees require a ticket (ie parents and children)
