Please bring water and a hat. We plan to explore both ends of town so you will need to walk or drive from one end of the town to the other.

About Catherine Hill Bay

Built by the mining company to house the mine workers and their families in the late 1800s and early 1900s, the timber cottages of Catho are a step back in time to when Catho was a self-sufficient community.

The heritage of Catherine Hill Bay village is recognised and protected as one of the two heritage villages listed on the NSW State Heritage Register.
