As a very special opening to the summer season in Speers Point Park, the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima) has partnered with local community group 80’s Skaties to celebrate the group's 4th birthday on Friday 4 November.
Members of the public are invited to get decked out in their best 80s gear and bring the whole family along for a free and fun evening by the lake. The celebration runs from 5.30 until 9.00pm with a live 80s DJ playing on the MAP mima stage, roller dancing, games with prizes to win, and, of course, a big birthday cake!
Party-goers can dine by the lake from a selection of food trucks onsite, or treat themselves to Lulu’s Gelato. On-site cafe Harry and Lola’s will be serving wine and grazing platters.
The event kicks off MAP mima's summer season of Friday Night Foodies events. From 4 November onwards, MAP mima will be open from 1pm-8pm each Friday, and from 4pm visitors will be able to enjoy a series of curated events, along with delicious eats from a rotating roster of local food trucks, a bar stocking local beer, as well as wine and cheeseboards from onsite cafe Harry and Lola’s.
No bookings necessary.
